Former Guantanamo detainee calls for help to bring back his family

Former Guantanamo Algerian detainee’s sister, called on the Algerian authorities to help her brother, Mustapha Hemlili, to get a passport as a first step in his quest to bring back his Pakistani wife and his five children to settle with him in his native country, Algeria.

  • Otherwise, the lady said, the Algerian authorities have to facilitate entry to the rest of his family, which lost contact with him since 6 years, to Algeria knowing that this one was free of all charges in both Pakistan and Algeria.
  • She added that he brother was physically ill and suffering following his detention and her brother sued the US government asking compensations.
