Former Guantanamo detainee suffers nerve wreckage

After six years of detention in Guantanamo camp, the Algerian former detainee Abderrahman Houari’s mental condition is judged unsatisfactory suffering a partial amnesia following the bad treatment either in the camp or in one of the Pakistani hospitals.

  • According to his relatives, Abderrahmane (28) suffers nerve wreckage and is due to be consulted by a psychologist next week to determine his mental status.
  • To recall, Algeria based Interpol bureau was in charge of Houari’s case who was well treated by the Algerian authorities, according to his relatives, and underwent a 15 day investigation before appearing in a court.
