Four Algerian detainees in Libya infected with AIDS

News about the death of Algerian Abdelhamid Ben Messaoud were confilicting on Friday in Eldjedida Lybian jail after he entered in the emergency room with 3 of his comrades for diabetes complications.

• Algerian prisoners in Eldjedida jail in Libya are waiting for their friends’ latest news who have been in the intesive care room since the first days of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
• The representative of the Algerian prisoners’ families, Mr.Kasmi Abdelkader comfirmed that Abdelhamid Benmessaoud’s family sent him medecine through the Algerian consulate in Libya. Yet, he did not receive any medecine until now – according to some prisoners’ testimony-.
• According to the same source, four prisoners are suffering from AIDS because they are not separated from the African infected prisoners. They are obliged to live with them in narrow rooms in addition to eating and drinking with the same utensils.
