Fourth presidential term triggers conflict among FLN members
Senior member at the corrective movement of Aleria’s FLN party Abdelkarim Abada said the party’s leader Amar Saidani will soon quit as he has a limited mission.
The corrective movement plans to hold the party’s central committee before the forthcoming presidential elections.
Abada decsreibed a meeting due to be held on Saturday by Saidani as “baseless” as he criticized him for sparking conflicts inside the party.”
Abada also said the corrective movement does not target people but it wants to correct the party’s endeavors. “We are members of the party. We are neither with Bouteflika nor with Benfelis. The presidential elections are serious. Because of that, they should be treated on the level of the party’s institutions.”
Member of the FLN’s central committee Mohamed Djemii said Saidani will present the new composition of the political office on Saturday.
“The FLN’s Secretary General will deliver an address in the opening session. He will speak about the situation inside the party and its future trends. The meeting agenda is the approbation of the political office,” he added.
“Everyone has the right of expression freedom. Each member is allowed to express himself. It is normal that we have different opinions,” he told Echorouk.
“Yet, the FLN’s Secretary General Amar Saidani should be the only person who speaks in behalf of the central committee,” he added.
He believes that the number of member who boycotted the session (130 members) which was given by Abdelkrim Abada and the political office coordinator Abderrahmane Belayat are is not true.
