Frank Ribery’s mother in law to Echorouk: “Frank Ribery was trapped by his friends after converting to Islam”

Do “bad friends” really succeed to disturb my daughter’s life with Frank Ribery? As stated by the mother of Wahiba Ribery Ms. Sherifa, or is it the reason, which tightened their relationship, and Zahia Dehar was only a painful blow, but not fata.  

• Echorouk met the mother of Frank Ribery’s wife Ms. Ben Mahi Sherifa and got this interview.

• At first we thought that the mother of Wahiba is currently in the region of “Mehraz” in Tlemcen, west of Algeria, where the family house. However, all contacts with her failed, until we met her nephews Mohamed and Bilal, who guided us and took us to the mother of Wahiba Ribery, after telling that she is currently residing in Germany with her daughter in order to stand by her son in law Frank Ribery and mitigate the impact of trauma on her daughter who said she can not talk to us because of her commitments outside home.

• Ms. Sherifa gave us all details of the case, before asserting that her daughter’s case and the negative impacts which resulted on her relationship with her husband Frank do not deserve the newspapers’ front pages, because Frank Ribery was the victim of a trap prepared by his friends; “We know who they are”, she adds.

• Ms. Sherif, who seemed satisfied when talking to us, pointed out that things will return to normal; “Thanks Allah things have returned to normal between my daughter and Bilal, as he finally recognized that Wahiba was right when she warned him of his bad friends”.

• Wahiba’s mother did not disclose the identity of these “friends”, she only said; “They are seeking to destroy Bilal’s career after he converted to Islam, especially after good performance with his club Bayern Munich recently. Bilal was the victim of a trap because he married an Arab Muslim woman and converted to Islam. He will participate in World Cup South Africa like any other good player”.

• “Bilal fell in wrong, no one is infallible, what he did with that girl is a normal act that can be committed by any person even a Muslim one. Since 16 years, he never showed such behaviour. I know him very well. He likes entertainments like any other person who has relations with all the social classes. What happened to him is for us an expected tax of success, but it occurs in a bad moment, as we are now working hard to overcome it and stand by him in his distress, particularly, as he prepares for participation in the World Cup. We tell all those who doubt about his Islam; Bilal was not convinced by a preacher or any Imam, he converted to Islam because he wanted to do it”.

• “ Bilal was impressed by some Muslims’ rituals in France including charity and some traditional foods like Couscous that were prepared by Muslims and offered in mosques, and he just found himself entering mosques and eating of these foods along with his wife Wahiba, who accompanied him because she practices a lot of sports. We encourage him to continue his football career. I promise Echorouk that I will bring my daughter Wahiba and Frank Ribéry with me to Algeria. Wahiba will go to South Africa to support him”.
