The first German legend of football Franz Beckenbauer said the Algerian team will be a real obstacle before USA and Slovenia in the World Cup finals in South Africa from 11th June to 11th July 2010.

• “Algeria’s team showed a good level and strong will during the qualifiers particularly before the interval with Egypt’s team… It would be an obstacle to the hopes of both the U.S. and Slovenian teams”.
• Beckenbauer estimated that England will top Group C; “The battle for the second place will be interesting between Algeria, USA and Slovenia. The winner in this group may face the German team in the semi finals”.
• Beckenbauer warned the German team from Ghana; “Joachim Low’s team will qualify in Group D, nit I warn of self arrogance… Ghana’s team, led by star Michael Essien will be a surprising team, particularly since the competition will occur for the first time in Africa”.
• “The Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac, the coach of Ghana’s team, is also one of those who use tactical tricks”.
• Beckenbauer continued his talk about the German team saying that it is obliged to reach the next round even if it will face in the first round the Serbian team, which has well known players, as they are professionals in the German championship.
• “I think that the Australian team is the first candidate to come out empty-handed from this group.
• As for the third group, he considered that the Italian team won a better draw than Germany, as its group includes Paraguay, New Zealand and Slovakia.
• “I don’t see any team which could threaten the world champions. The only danger which faces Marcello Lippi is to deal with things loosely and underestimate his rivals”.
• N the other hand, he nominated the Spanish team to top its group and also win the World Cup 2010.
• “I think the Swiss team will book the second place in its group despite the presence of both Honduras and Chile”.
• “I’m sorry for the team to occupy the third place in the seventh group which is “cruel” because it includes Brazil, Portugal and Cote D’Ivoire.
• “There will be a fierce struggle and conflict of feelings in this group because the most prominent players of the Portuguese team like Deko, Pepe, and Liedson, were all born in Brazil”.
• He added that the group which includes North Korea will also notice some tears regardless of the final results.
• “What is deplorable is that the World Cup South Africa will continue without the Brazilian Kaka or Ivorian Didier Drogba or Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo”.
• “The second group will see the same conflict, as it includes Argentina and its coach Diego Maradona, and the good Nigerian team which can blow up with a surprise, as well as North Koreans who are the masters of insist”, the group also includes the Greek team with its coach Otto Rehhagel.

• This will depend a lot on its opening match against Mexico and also on the ability of the French team to restore stability before the start of the tournament.
• “Occurrence of the French team in the group of the country which will host the World Cup will increase the difficulty of the situation on Raymond Domenech’s team”.
