French and Dutch companies short listed for Algiers Olympic stadium

The manager of Algiers Olympic stadium revealed that this one will open to competitions by the end of August after finishing the restoration works on the pitch.

• Speaking to “Echourouk”, M. Rachid Zeroual said that bid for tenders were launched or this operation and two companies, a French one and a Dutch showed interest.
• He went on saying that the works are set to start in July where the green slopes, previously prepared, will be planted and well- kept to get ready for the competitions by the end of August.
• M. Zeroual added that the Algerian squad will not be able to play the preliminary matches on the main venue, but can use the outbuilding field for the training sessions.
• In this respect, the national squad will prepare the next official match against the Gambian squad slated for the next week, within the same premises. Pending this date, all is done to restore lightening as well as other commodities including a big restaurant.
