A Paris municipality organizes a series of activities on the study of massacres which revealed the brutality of the French colonial system and all the means that were used to suppress the Algerians’ voice who claimed their rights to self-determination and their stolen freedom during a forum to be held on May 6th in the French capital.

• The forum, according the APS, will be organized under the theme “History, description and denial”, with the collaboration of the French historian Olivier Le Cour Grandmaison, and professor of political science at the Every-Vall d’Essonne University and author of many books about the black colonial history of France and on the 17th of October 1961 horrendous massacres in Paris.
• The forum will be activated by a number of the important specialists and historians such as Jean Louis Blanche, Benjamin Stora, and Alain Roussillon, and will talk about “Massacres of the 8th of May 1945, June 1945 and Americans”, “The French historical story of the massacres in Setif and Guelma” and “The new France and the old thinking, the French political world before the colonial issue 1944-1947.
• Philosophers Alain Brouste and Seloua Luste Boulbina will discuss the historical and moral prospective of the events.
• Meanwhile, Nicole Dreyfous will participate in a lecture entitled “Repercussions of the 8th of May 1945”.
