French newspapers: “Paris to exempt Algeria from the list of state sponsors of terrorismâ€
After the U.S decision to exempt Algeria officially from the security list, French newspapers reported Monday quoting reliable sources from the Elysée Palace, “Paris will also exempt Algeria from the list of dangerous countriesâ€.

French Ambassador to Algeria Xavier Driancourt already told Echorouk from the capital of black gold Hassi Messaoud; “Algeria might be cancelled from the list of dangerous countries and withdraw Algerian passengers from the list of suspects on the French territory”.

In this context, some French newspapers, such as “Le Figaro” and “Le Parisien” published articles last February on some points and analysis that led to the classification adopted by France and was not the result of a depth security study, or a security report by the French security services and intelligence in charge of combating terrorism. However, it was the tradition of copying America’s unfair decisions seeking to distort Algeria’s image before the rest of the world.

“Le Parisien” pointed to the repercussions that threatens the share of French investments in Algeria and advertising of American and Canadian companies that show their interest to invest in Algeria in sectors that remained for decades under the French control, after exclusion of Chinese, Turks and Arabs who pulled out the rug out from French companies in the areas of Public Works and construction. That is why France was soft and affirmative towards the complementary finance law and Finance Act 2010 and its procedures to confirm that it is willing to sacrifice in order to safeguard its economic interests, as it announced for the possibility of completing a factory for Renault cars and the project of MED 2010.
