French Razel to withdraw staff from Algeria following attack

French company Razel that employed an engineer killed in a terrorist attack in the town of Beni Amrane in Boumerdes province (50 km east of Algiers) is going to withdraw its three other workers from the area starting from Monday, reported AFP citing a spokesman for Razel.

“We have just decided that the three other French nationals who work at the site should get the plane back to Paris today,” Jean-Marie Sifre told AFP.

A bomb went off Sunday in Boumerdes killing a French engineer and his Algerian driver who were working for Razel on railway reparation.

Official sources told Algeria News Agency (APS) the terrorist attack claimed 2 lives and wounding others while the AFP and local media reported that 13 people were killed including policemen and fire-fighters citing security sources.
