Funds directed to Algerian diplomatic representations abroad under control

Algerian ministry of finance has recently set up two departments to control Algerian embassies’ funds abroad. They would follow-up public expenditure spent abroad in addition to reports about “embezzlement” which may occur through a number of diplomatic corps abroad.

• At the same time, Algerian foreign affairs ministry decided to establish three subsidiary departments which would work on activating Algeria’s role abroad.
• Algerian lobby and national card for associations abroad
•  The creation of a second sub- department by foreign affairs ministry aims at establishing something like an Algerian lobby abroad as Morocco does holding associative movements in many European countries such as France, Holland and Belgium. It may spread to Canada where there is considerable number of Moroccan nationals while Algerians’ presence across a number of western capitals is big.
