George Galloway's convoy to Gaza was given Monday warm welcome when it entered the Algerian province of Tipaza (about 50 km west of Algiers).
-
The convoy members discovered the beauty of the Algerian nature as they joined tourist trips to Tipaza and its vestiges.
-
It is expected to continue its journey on Tuesday’s morning to reach the city of Annaba (east of Algiers) and then to the Tunisian borders.
-
Many Algerian figures met with George Galloway such as foreign minister Mourad Medelsi and members of the Popular Committee in Support of Palestine including war veterans Abdelhamid Mehri, Ahmed Boureguaa, Djamila Bouhired and the media consultant of Echorouk newspaper Ali Draa.

Meetings were held to determine the line of the convoy to the east and breaks before entering the Tunisian borders. Algerian National Gendarmerie forces are mobilised to ensure the safety of the convoy and facilitate the traffic.
