Ghardaia Events: 11 conditions in front of Sellal to put out the fire of sedition

Committee of Coordination and Follow-up of Ghardaia (southern Algeria) events held on Sunday a press conference, in which four members of the Committee revealed on a list of demands that will be submitted to the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, during his upcoming visit to Wilaya.

The list included 11 items, including the committee’s rejection of any join Council of elders that will be appointed by the PM before returning back to the reference of community, which is represented, according to them, by the committee that has been appointed as a formal spokespersons on behalf of the Ibadi Community, according to the statement that was issued by the Commission.

The source added that the way to take out the area from the circle of recurring violence, is first providing security to the required extent, punishing the involved in fomenting violence and who are known to everyone in the city.

Commission requested the release of those arrested during the events, to investigate in the events of Ami Said cemetery’s fence demolition and the burning of the headquarters of the office for the protection of Oued Mizab valley, compensating all traders who were affected during the event, put an end to the repeated attempts to ignite the fire of sedition, and find out who is behind the process of what it called systematic incitement via internet.

Committee rejected any sectarian or doctrinal interpretation of the events, and concluded with the need to open a file on the events by the PM, emphasizing that the most important reasons is the security lax in the region.
