Good news: No cases of swine flu in Algeria
Medical sources in charge of the crisis cell, responsible on following the evolution of the global pandemic “swine fluâ€, at the Ministry of Health and Population reveal that the national laboratory of swine flu at Algiers Pasteur Institute examined 12 suspected cases of H1N1 since the emergence of the pandemic mod April until today.

Dr. Fouzi Derar, director of the national laboratory of flu and member of the crisis cell at the Ministry of Health, said the cases which were analyzed and checked in the laboratory by experts of the national laboratory of swine flu 12 cases since the emergence of the virus H1N1, which are likely negative meaning that they do not include H1N1 virus.

“ The cases which were diagnosed have been transferred from Houari Boumediene Airport in Algiers as well as in many ports east of Algeria, to Pasteur Institute for the necessary tests after the mergence of symptoms of flu to the 12 cases”, he told Echorouk.

The Ministry of Health and Population lifted the state of emergency to the sixth level, warning the health centres in ports and airports to lift control over all the passengers through subjecting them to medical analysis if they have any fly symptoms.

The crisis cell at the Ministry of Health is following the evolution of the virus H1N1 along with 17 ministerial sectors and a number of international bodies concerned with its evolution as well.

Algeria allocated over 80 billion dinars to protect the Algerians from any possible pandemic, particularly since all the reports confirm that everyone in the universe is concerned with the swine flu.
