Government okays news taxes on building projects
Algeria will allocate 50 percent of gross total tax on real estates incomes to localities.
The Algerian government gave its go ahead to the tax administration to levy more taxes in the housing sector with the view to garner more revenues for the local administrations.

According to a communiqué, the new taxes will directly imposed on citizens through the different transactions including the issue of work or destruction permits and also those related to the conformity ones.

On the other hand, it has decided to allocate 50 percent of the gross total tax on real estates incomes to the localities in a move to collect more money for their management and ensure autonomy from the public treasury.
