Government to grant 20.000 houses for Police staff by the end of 2009

Completion of the functional houses, belonging to security authorities made a significant development with 65%. However, other projects that are related to security coverage, particularly in the southern regions lack completion because many companies refused to work there due to the lack of the working hands and real estates.  

• The General Directorate of the National Security is expecting about 19249 houses by the end of 2009 for Policemen, including 7580 houses now completed. 6260 houses in the northern localities and 1320 houses in the south will be distributed as well.

• 56 security headquarters will open in 29 southern regions, and 300 dormitories for the single security elements will open as well.

• The agenda for the five-year plan to develop the national security is available at the general directorate’s web site. It showed 188 security headquarters out of 563 on the national level, including 45 headquarters were completed in the south and 152 out of 563 headquarters will be completed by the end of 2009. Volume of achievement progress reached between 37 and 60%.
