Government to impose new fees on owners of companies to stop pollution
Minister of Environment and Tourism, Cherif Rahmani

Algerian Minister of Posts and Communication Technologies, Hamid Bessalah, presents to the government today proposals which contained the plan of his sector to disseminate the telemedicine or the use of technologies of information and communication in the health sector, particularly in conducting surgical operations.

  • In parallel the Minister of environment, Tourism, Cherif Rahmani, will reveal the volume of the new plan to be imposed on the industrial activities that are dangerous on the environment. 
  • According to official sources at the Ministry of Posts and Information and Communication Technologies, the proposals by the Ministry of the sector focus on the technologies and their vast potentials as well as accuracy of telemedicine, possibility to change patterns of health care services and improving health of millions through developing medical knowledge for the specialists.
  • Telemedicine, according to Bessaleh, is the use of medial information exchanged from one site to another via electronic communications for health and awareness of the patients provided by health services to improve health cares such as examination of very complex cases using video cameras, as a new medical technique which saved life of hundreds of patients through subjecting them to surgical operations conducted in the sites of accidents without physical transfer of the patients to the hospitals which are sometimes very far.
  • Bessaleh’s proposals introduced importation of techniques and equipments that are necessary to conduct the medical consultations.
  • For his part, Cherif Rahmani, will present the draft executive order on the fees which will imposed on the activities which present a danger on environment.
