Over 600,000 workers in the framework of pre-employment contracts and social network decided to launch a mass protest through 48 Wilayas on September 16th, and organize a sit in on the 29th of the same month in Algiers, as an escalation reaction against the government that continues neglecting the demands of this category.

This “uprising anger” comes, according to the spokesman for the National Committee for the pre-employment contracts, Habib Ahmed, after the government closed the doors of dialogue, and refused to integrate more than 600,000 young men and women in spite of the promises that they received, adding that the preoccupation of this category has been discussed with the prime minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, during his recent visit to Msila, but they did not receive any response.

Spokesman expressed surprise and astonishment of the policy of silence and ignorance which is applied by the government, despite a series of appeals that were launched by the Committee and its calls for the urgent need to open the doors of dialogue and organizing several protests, but it did not remark any real intention or moves to the settlement of this file, which has remained stuck, pointing out that the official statistics indicate that the number of workers in the context of pre-employment contracts exceeds one million workers, while Statistics approved by the Ministry of Labor and Employment acknowledge that they are approximately 600.000 workers.

The committee called, in a statement, Echorouk received a copy of it, on Wednesday for freezing all recruitment competitions until the integration of this category, and calculating the years of work within the professional experience and years of retirement.

The government had earlier announced the settlement of the status of workers of pre-employment and social network in preparation for their integration in their positions in the beginning of June 2012, but the Complementary Finance Act and the statements of the Prime Minister, in which he announced that the services of the public employment are not able to provide new jobs, and this formed a knockdown against them and destroyed their hope.

Complementary Finance Act, which has been incorporated in the Finance Act of 2014, as announced by the Prime Minister recently, did not include the liberalization of financial positions to contain the number of workers in various departments and public institutions.
