A “silent war” between Algeria football coach Vahid Halilhodzic and the Algerian Football Federation’s president Mohamed Raouraoua is going on over Algerian international players Ishaq Belfodil and Safir Tayder, Echorouk has learnt.

The Bosnian coach wanted to exclude the players in the World Cup matches in Brazil. He did not forgive Tayder for trying to leave training in November ahead of a game against Burkinafaso as was not among principal players.

Halilhodzic warned to exclude Belfodil as well, saying he could not impose himself in the team.

Raouraoua expressed dissatisfaction over the coach’s decisions as he planned to gather the best dual-nationality players in the team.

The federation’s president made big efforts to bring many players living abroad such as Fighouli, Boudebouz, Yebda, Megni, Tayder, Belfodil, Ghoulam, Brahimi, Mandi and others.
