Halilhodzic will not resign
Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic refuses to resign although officials at the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) put pressure on him, Echorouk has learnt.
The FAF’s president Mohamed Raouraoua suspended a part of Halilhodzic’ salary along with his assistants for “disciplinary” reasons. This is understood as an attempt to push the coach to resign.
According to the same sources, what is happening between Halilhodzic and Raouraoua is like “Tom and Jerry” game. While the FAF’s president plans to push the coach to resign, Halilhodzic insists on remaining at the head of Algeria’s national team to obtain all his financial rights stipulated in his contract with the FAF0
Halilhodzic will be in Algeria late in January
Raouraoua assigned a member at the FAF to call the Bosnian coach and ask him to come to Algeria to prepare for a friendly match between Algeria and Slovenia due to be played on March 5th in Blida.
