Hamas leaders intends to visit Algeria, says Soltani

The political leader of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal wants to visit Algeria as soon as possible along with an important delegation representing the Palestinian resistance, Algerian political party chief said Sunday.

“Meshaal and factions of the Palestinian resistance are ready to visit Algeria and they are waiting for the government’s go-ahead,” Abudjerra Soltani, leader of Society of Peace Movement (MSP) told Echorouk on phone.

Soltani is on a visit to the Syrian capital Damascus to show support for the Palestinian resistance.

He said his meeting with Meshaal and representatives of the resistance factions allowed him to see how much Palestinians have esteem to the Algerian revolution against colonisation.

On December 27, Israel launched a 22-day-massive offensive on Gaza alleging it was targeting Hamas military compounds. More than 1,450 Palestinians, most of them were civilians were killed in the strikes.
