“Hannachi confident in JS Kabylie's ability to clinch African Champions' League trophy”
Shortly upon their return from Cairo where they had displayed a brilliant performance versus Egypt's squad of Al Ahly, crowned with a qualification for the semi-final of the African champions' league competition, the top Manager of JS Kabylie Mohand Cherif Hannachi, the technical staff and the team players paid yesterday a courtesy visit to the premises of the newspaper Echorouk which has always been by the side of the JS Kabylie squad even in the difficult moments.

The move was viewed as a token of gratitude for Echorouk’s unfailing backing for the Kabylian team.

The General manager of the newspaper Echorouk, Ali Fodhil, declared on this festive occasion that JS Kabylie’s praiseworthy performance versus Al Ahly of Egypt in Cairo was a telling repetition of Algeria’s historic victory over Egypt in Oudourman last November as part of the world cup qualifiers.

Ali Fodhil also asserted that through JS Kabylies’s commendable feat, it was not imperative for a football player to play overseas to be entitled to play for the national team, the local players have proved that they could vie themselves for a place within the national line-up with no hitch , he said.

Ali Fodhil further stressed that the KS Kabylie squad had given a lesson to those who don’t trust the local players adding that last Sunday’s heroic fixture in Cairo should serve as a new starting point for Algerian football.

Several players of the JS Kabylie team including among others, talented goalkeeper Malik Asla, defender Tadjer and striker Yahia Cherif also expressed to Echorouk’s reporters their utter joy and merriment at the historic qualification, stressing that the local players should not be left in the lurch as regards a possible incorporation into the national football squad, because their intrinsic values and potentialities, have become obvious, as they put it.
