Echourok: You didn’t take part to the training session the day before yesterday and following intensive care with the physical therapist, what’s the nature of your injury?
-
-
Yebda: I felt a painful contraction during the session of Saturday on lens stadium, but there is nothing to worry about and I’ll come back to the competition very soon.
-
-
Echourok: But some have declared that the injury is an old one and you didn’t fully recovered that’s why you have replaced?
-
-
Yebda: No, it’s not true, I have completely recovered from my old injury, this one is benign and the head coach Rabah Saadane has ordered me not take part to the training sessions to prevent further complications.
-
-
Echourok: does it mean that you will take part to the match versus Ireland?
-
-
Yebda: I don’t think so, to be frank I prefer not to take part to this match and carry on my treatment to be fit for the world tournament.
-
-
Echourok: But this decision will maybe reduce your chances to snatch a place among the starting line-up especially that competition is fierce in the midfield with the presence of Mansouri, Guedioura, and Lacen?
-
-
Yebda: I know my potentialities and don’t think that the fact of missing a friendly would put at stake my participation in the world cup; moreover, I have never been afraid of competition because I know that Rabah Saadane will pick up the best ones.
-
-
Echourok: Mourad Meghni has returned to the competition the day before yesterday, do you think that he can catch up his lack of competition?
-
-
Yebda: Meghni is a talented player and I’m very confident that he can easily overcome his physical problem; frankly speaking, I ‘m looking forward to his participation because he can make a difference at any moment.
-
-
Echourok: You have followed a training session the day before yesterday before more than 5 thousand fans, did you expect this?
-
-
Yebda: We knew that we have fans in Switzerland but not such a number, we agreeably surprised by the presence of this large number on the bleachers; I think that this will give us an additional impetus to make a good showing in the World cup.
-
-
Echourok: The fans are putting high hopes on you during this tournament; do you think that the greens can live up to their expectations?
-
-
Yebda: Football is not science, but I think we can ease through the second round in the World cup.
-
-
Echourok: Lot has been said about your future, can you tell us about your future destination?
-
-
Yebda: Until now I’m the property of the Portuguese club Benfica and I’m looking forward to discussing with the club’s managers right after the world cup; frankly speaking I don’t want to pronounce now, I will decide after the world cup.
-
-
Echourok:Do you intend to come back to Benfica?
-
-
Yebda: If the managers ask me to me stay, I’m ready for it but if they don’t so be it; I have received a lot of offers from Britain, France and other European leagues.
