Head of Algerian Football Federation to Echourok: Egyptians will cry until the World Cup
Mohamed Raouraoua

The President of the Algerian Football Federation, Mohammed Raouraoua hailed the qualification of the Greens to the African Cup of Nations quarter-finals billing it as meritorious if we consider the layers’ performances during the first round of this competition.

  • In an exclusive declaration to Echourok, he has indicated that the Algerian national squad has reached the goal with their qualification to the quarter-finals” We have reached the objective we have traced before this tournament which is the qualification to the quarters, despite the bad start ; the players knew how to come back on track and respond to the criticisms”.
  • Mali’s win helped the Greens to manage the second half in a clever way.
  • Mohammed Raouraoua talked about the last performance of the Algerian players during the match versus Angola and replied to those raised questions concerning the pace which was low during the second half” We have controlled the match during the first half and could have scored many goals and the players have decided to reduce the pace in the second half because they were aware of the second match’s result”.
  • He replied to the Egyptians’ allegations saying that the players played cleverly in order to spare their energies for the next match, denying plotting with the Angolans.
  • CAF acknowledged its mistake
  • The Deputy Head of the Arab Football Union seized this opportunity to reveal that the African Federation has admitted its mistake when it scheduled the match between Malawi and Algeria in the afternoon, adding that it will be responsible for the schedule in the future instead of the organizing committee.
  • We have proven that Lecastellet training camp was a success
  • Mohammed Raouraoua hinted to the training camp that took place in southern France before moving to Angola” we have taken the challenge in Angola because the training camp in Lecastellet was a total success and helped the players to finish the two last matches without any difficulty as opposed to the Malian side who were staunchly criticized for preparing in the Golf and played four friendly matches stymieing the players’ performances”.
  •
  • Egyptians have to pass the quarters first
  • Reacting to the Egyptian led campaign against the Fennecs who didn’t welcome the Greens’ qualification to the next round, Mohammed Raouraoua has declared that “the Egyptians should pass the quarters first then talk about their match versus Algeria in the semi-finals”.
  • He went on saying that the Egyptians will not stop spitting their venom until the world Cup “ They will not stop crying until the day of the match versus Slovenia in the World Cup, where they will be struck by another shock”. As to the campaign led by the Head of the Egyptian Federation against Algeria, M Raouraoua said” Lets give the boy time for drying his tears”.
