Health Sector: 25 thousand temporary workers given permanent appointment

The health and hospital reform ministry has decided to grant over 25 thousand contract and part-time workers permanent appointments starting from mid-January 2014 in a bid to straighten out the socio-professional situation of countless long-neglected workers in the Algerian health sector.

Health ministry sources told Echorouk that such a salutary full-time employment measure would become effective as from January 15^th 2014 for the benefit of about 25 thousand health workers.

The latter will be allotted permanent jobs with a regular 8-hour working volume per day instead of the 5 hours per day previously.

This integrated Para-medical staff and other related- health workers will also see their monthly salaries being hiked substantially and their working conditions being upgraded as part of the health authorities’ decision to grant them full-time employment in the country’s various hospitals and health centers after years of prevarication and wrangling
