Hichour:”Belkhadem declared Bouteflika's nomination to the fourth term before Saadani”

Member of FLN Party central committee, the former Minister Boudjemaa Hichour, expressed reservation on the way in which Amar Saadani preceeded his mission as the new Secretary-General of the party.

Hichour said that Saadani hasted in declaring the nomination of President Bouteflika to the fourth term, asserting in an interview with Echoroukonline that FLN’s crisis will continue until the period which will follow the presidential elections, and the polarization within the” front” will endure due to the interactions in the political arena.

“Call by the new FLN Secretary General, Amar Saadani, for the nomination of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to the fourth term on behalf of the party, is a hasty decision, and is an anticipation of events. Saadani did not bring new changes about the nomination of President Bouteflika, as the former Secretary-General Abdelaziz Belkhadem preceeded him”.

“Deciding about the party’s candidate for the presidential elections is one of the powers of the Central Committee, which must meet in a special session for this purpose, but Saadani hasted in drafting the political statement for the last meeting of the Central Committee, and called for the nomination of Bouteflika to the fourth term”.

“Former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia may return to the forefront of the political arena. Ouyahia is one of the politicians who are supporters of the state’s culture, and any politician has no end.”
