High Algerian military delegation visits Mali
An Algerian military delegation visited Mali on Monday within the context of strengthening security cooperation in fighting smuggling and terrorism, AFP reporting citing close source to the Malian Defence Ministry.

“A high Algerian military delegation has been in Bamako since Monday to discuss the issue of the borders security,” said AFP.

“We have common concerns and this visit aimed at strengthening military cooperation,” the same source added.

Malian President, Amadou Toumani had already paid a visit to Algeria and met President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. A meeting between Algerian and Malian security experts was hold as well.

They agreed on concretising a security plan to fight organized crime across the borders.
