High level consultations to decide about FLN's new leader

Consultations were launched at the highest levels to choose a person close to the specifications of the late Abderrazzaq Bouhara, member of the Central Committee who passed away, to lead the transitional phase of the forthcoming Party FLN, amid almighty votes from both parties which called for the need to unite and overcome selfishness.

FLN informed sources said that a delegation was composed of well-known personalities in the party led by Transport Minister Amar Tou, was preparing to meet with the late Abderrazzaq Bouhara to inform him that he is the person that all agreed to lead the transition of the party, but the fate was fast, as they were informed that he was transferred to the hospital after health complications.
Same sources added that the consultations that began between the feuding wings was done in coordination with the honorary president of the party who insisted on not to intervene in FLN crisis, leaving the final decision to the polls.
Central Committee member and coordinator of the reform movement Abdelkrim Abada told Echorouk, that he regrets the death of Bouhara in this delicate circumstance of the old party, adding that consultations will start to find the man with the specifications of the late Abderrazzaq Bouhara, who is able to achieve consensus to overcome the state of the vacuum caused by the withdrawal of confidence from former Secretary-General Abdelaziz Belkhadem, explaining that FLN has elites within the Central Committee, and that the consultations and efforts that began will aim to unite and overcome the crisis in preparation for the  future decisive dates, refusing to let the party remain in an empty circle, calling on everyone to overcome selfishness and work on the reunion.
For its part the politburo member Abdelhamid Si Afif  announced on a meeting of this body next Saturday, to study the situation of the party, denying the starting of any consultations to search for a successor to the late Bouhara, saying: “We are with the holding of the sixth session of the Central Committee, and we have chosen a democratic and transparent way, and committed ourselves to implement the Basic Law which provides access to the responsibility by the polls”, insisting that the man of consensus must be chosen by elections, and that consensus should be reflected by the polls; “It is time to make way for young people to assume positions of responsibility at FLN, because logic does not accept the marginalization of 80% of the central committee members under the age of 60. Central Committee was held in 2010, counting 32 historical figures, who with the age of 65, a category called naming the first generation, and they are members, who often speak through media, which gave the impression that most of the members of the Central Committee are elderly.
Issa Kassa, in charge of communication at FLN prty, refused to talk about the alternative person to lead the phase of the crisis, arguing that the polls will decide about a man of consensus, saying: “There will be no provisional Secretary-General, because the interim leadership is the only politburo, which will meet soon after achieving the legal permission to study FLN’s situation”.
