Housing minister to Echourouk: cheaters will be added to the black list

In wide ranging-interview made to Echourouk , the housing minister Abdelmadjid Tebboun has indicated that the future applicants will be subjected to a scrupulous identification through the national housing card in order to unmask the cheaters.

In case of any infringement, the wrongdoers will be included in the “black list” among them those who used to live in slums .he has also asserted that the presidential plan has reached 55% not excluding the eventuality to grant the future project to the national operators in order to avoid the delays.

The minister has noted that 68.000 housing units were delivered over the last quarter of the year 2012 and some 109.000 new ones are set to be built.

M Tebboun has declared that the dislodging of the citizens that live in precarious houses is still underway and the pace goes in crescendo including those who dwell in the old compounds; but some of them refuse to leave their houses preferring to restore them instead.

He has indicated that the number of the housing units as part of the new program is bot limited to 150 thousand ones as some think, since the number has increased to reach 230.thousand units for the time being. He went on saying that the priority will go to the applicants registered in 2001, 2002 and even 2003.

As to the price per square meter, the minister has indicated that this one varies between 41 and 42 thousand Algerian Dinars instead of 60 due to the state’s contribution that reached 50% of the total price. The beneficiaries will contribute at a level of 700.000 Algerian Dinars .

As to the future partnerships, the minister has indicated that looking for new partners doesn’t mean stop the collaboration with the Chinese operators but the market is so big that other collaborations are necessary including with Italian, Spanish Portuguese and American ones.
