Housing park to hit 7 million units in Algeria, minister
Algerian Housing Minister indicated that the State allocated 1,000 billion DA for different housing programs within Algeria’s five-year plan.
Algerian Housing Minister Nourredine Moussa said the government allocated over 300 billion Algerian dinars in 2005 to fund urban improvement program.

In the International Conference on Real-Estate Management opened Tuesday, the minister indicated that the State allocated 1,000 billion DA for different housing programs within Algeria’s five-year plan.

“The State did not give enough attention to urban improvement within previous programs. All actors must be aware that the non-management situation can not continue,” said Nourredine Moussa.

According to the minister, the national housing park is expected to reach 7 million units when the five-year plan 2005-2009 is received.

Moussa said his ministry focused on collective houses compared to other kinds. “The management of shared parts of any building requires residents’ approval to participate in it.”
