Housing Projects: Ministerial Inspection Committee to launch investigations

A high delegation from the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism launches here on Sunday field investigations on all the housing projects at the level of 48 wilayas of the national territory, by order of the Minister Abdelmdjid Taboune, who finished a series of technical meetings with officials of his ministerial department, that ended with holding a meeting with managers of housing and construction, and managers of the offices of real estate management and the director of the agency “ADL” at the national level.

The delegation was assigned by the Minister of Housing and Urbanism, to oversee the details of the sector, and is formed of 10 central officials from the Ministry of Housing, who will begin their mission from El Taref in the far east of the country, to include all wilayas of the country to the far west and from Tizi Ouzou to Tamanrasset (southern Algeria), and will launch a field job directly on all public residential projects that are funded government through the public treasury, in accordance to the program of the President, whether the projects that were launched those which still wait for years, as the delegation is asked to present an outcome of the final report to the President.

The delegation was assigned to launch an accurate survey on the reality of projects on the ground, and stand at the real reasons that are facing them, so that the Minister could compare the reality with the figures that were prepared by various sources, including the directorates of housing at the national level, or from managers of upgrading housing and companies of upgrade properties, then the minister presented those figures to the President before the end of the year.

The delegation, consists of the sector’s experts, is asked to limit the real problems facing the progress of projects in accordance with the president’s agenda, starting with the delivery of building licences, the allocation lands and solve problems concerning the ownership of the properties with the directorates of state properties, at the local level, to the problems of electricity, telephone and even gas, which cross some floors that are allocated for the establishment of projects, then the problems of available different raw materials, and problems relating to public procurement law, as well as the fluctuations in the prices of raw materials.
