Human organs trade networks tend to kidnap children who are not more than 8 years old because their organs are still growing and have not been harmed by ecological factors, according to a pediatrician.

Professor Mustapha Khiati told Echorouk the human organs most demanded are kidneys especially that many ill people find difficulties to find kidney donors.

Cornea comes in second followed by liver as it must be urgently transplanted alive.

Asked about the efficiency of children’s organs extraction, the professor said kidnappers take children to medical clinics in good health conditions. They are killed and the organs are extracted few minutes after death.

In this context, he suggested to sensitise parents who are responsible for facing the abduction phenomenon by keeping watch on their children.

He also called for providing all police stations and the National Gendarmerie troops with trained dogs and intensifying sanctions against kidnappers.
