Thousands of Algerian pupils were not able to join their schools Sunday because they did not buy blue school aprons which are now scarce on the markets, as dozens of parents from various Algerian localities contacted the newspaper Echorouk to voice their deep concern at the expulsions of pupils ordered by many teachers and directors of educational institutions.

• Parents did not grasp the reactions of some directors who gave strict instructions to the guards to expel all the pupils who did not wear the new school aprons which were approved by the Ministry of Education at the beginning of this new school year.
• All this happened even though the parents walked tens of kilometers to look for these school aprons which are unavailable on the market for the time being.
