Illegal migrants arrested in western Algeria

The National gendarmerie elements Sunday intercepted 11 illegal immigrants in the city of Ghazaouet , Tlemcen, on their way to the Spanish shores.

• According to sources, the young men moved to the town of Tlemcen (west of Algeria) in a bid to reach the Spanish side undercover of fishermen to escape the authorities’ vigilance.
• The group was arrested in an isolated place in their possession a compass, a Spanish map and an extra motor engine in case of breakdown.
• The security authorities also seized hard currency in Euro, Dollars and Chinese Yen.
