Inquiries underway across the country over fake university degrees

Echourouk has learnt from reliable sources that security forces have opened inquiries in several provinces across the country to investigate on the scandal of the post graduation studies involving students that didn’t get their baccalaureate.

The same sources have indicated that the cases registered in the universities of Senia and  Oran were only the visible part of the iceberg as many other cases came into the surface in other universities across the country.

A large number of students and universities’ personnel in various universities are involved in similar scandals but have never been worried by the relevant authorities.

For instance, dozens of students of the University of Medicine studies in Annaba, eastern Algeria, have lodged complaints two years ago to denounce gross irregularities to get diplomas in surgery for the sons of high officials and other professors.
