Interministerial meeting to discuss batteries of measures to absorb joblessness
Several ministers will today discuss in a meeting the legal measures likely to beef up the employment strategy put in the agenda of the last cabinet’s meeting chaired by the president Abdelaziz Bouteflika; other reforms are set to be included among the existing ones.
- Governmental sources have indicated that today’s cabinet’s meeting, which was scheduled for Monday, will look at brand new measures for the benefit of the young jobless in a move to absorb unemployment in Algeria, although estimates have revealed that the previous measures have reduced unemployment over the last decade, while other analysis have considered the efforts didn’t live up to the expectation s.
- Among the measures included in the future strategy consist in the creation of law firms, practices groups for university graduates in the medical, law and architecture fields; Moreover, the cabinet will look at the appropriate means to reduce the bureaucratic measures in a bid to the facilitate the task for the university graduates as concerns financing to create their own businesses.
- The cabinet will also discuss the proposal of the interior ministry concerning the 100 shops dedicated to the young unemployed in each municipality across the country. Estimates have revealed that the exploitation’s rate of the so called “President’s shops” doesn’t exceed 25% in each municipality.
- As part of the presidential ambitious program to create some 200 thousand small and medium sized companies; the next step will witness the issue of batteries of incentives for the benefit of the young entrepreneurs including tax exemption and banks’ funding.
