The International Football Federation (FIFA) has summoned the Egyptian Football Federation to formally apologize to Algeria in the wake of the attack on the Algerian bus in Cairo, the Egyptian club “Zamalek” has revealed on its official site.

  •
  • What happened in Khartoum, Sudan, between the two squads during the play off match, doesn’t show any evidence as to the involvement of the Algerian fans in troubles, it said on the website.
  •
  • On the other hand, the decision to take off three points from the Egyptian during the upcoming World Cup qualifiers has been taken more than a month ago, Echourok has learnt. •
  • The Egyptian club Ezamalek has revealed yesterday in its official site that the Egyptian Federation has been vehemently threatened by the FIFA two days before issuing the sanction, adding that this institution is determined to sanction Egyptian if it refuses to send formal apologies to the Algerian Football Federation for the attack carried out against the Algerian bus last November 14.
  •
  • The FIFA’s sanction will consist in taking off three points during the upcoming world cup qualifiers, shrinking thus the Egyptians chances to book their tickets for the 2014 World Cup.
  •
  • It should be noted that the Algerian delegation led by the president Mohammed Raouraoua has forwarded a thorough report on the Egyptian attacks against the Algerian players to the FIFA. The attacks have been admitted by some Egyptian officials like the Federation’s Vice –President Mohammed Abu Rida but tardy.
  •
  • FIFA will pronounce on the sanction no late than March 10.
