Interpol works with Algeria Borders Police
Interpol bureau in Algeria adopted this system because of “the need to strengthen control on passports and borders.

General Department of the National Security linked “important” airports and ports to data bank of the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol to detect forged passports and arrest wanted criminals especially terrorists.

  • The data bank contains information on more than 4 million stolen cars and about 15 million missing personal documents. This system allows ports police comparing cars details to those information available at the Interpol.

  • According to the website of the General Department of the National Security, “Algeria has included a high –tech system of Mind to allow access to the Interpol’s database.” This step aims at securing passengers in the big international ports and airports.

  • The General Department of the National Security explained that the Interpol bureau in Algeria adopted this system because of “the need to strengthen control on passports and borders as well as preventing dangerous criminals from travelling freely across the world”.
