The government will accredit 5 joint ventures to achieve housing projects in collaboration with national companies as part of Algeria’s five-year-plan, housing minister said on Monday.

“Authorities did not ban any house acquisition procedures which were applicable in the past. The National Enterprise for Real-Estate Promotion (ENPI) will be in charge of constructing remaining houses in collaboration with joint ventures,” Abdelmadjid Teboune told journalists in Algiers.

He added that he held a meeting on Monday with the Algerian interior minister Dahou Ould Kablia and prefects of the provinces of Tipaza, Blida, Boumerdes and Algiers. They determined real-estates intended to housing projects in Algiers. Its quota was raised to 36,000. Some projects are expected to be launched within a month in the capital. Some real-estates will be transferred to construction field.

Teboune said 30 percent of the projects were delayed due to real-estate transfer-related procedures.
