Justice issued six arrest warrants against Abdelmoumen Khalifa

Informed sources told Echorouk that justice has issued against the wanted Billionaire, Rafik Abdelmoumen Khalifa, six orders and arrest warrants.

Khalifa was notified about these orders upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene airport, coming from Britain, last Tuesday, before being emptied by the court of Harrache (Algiers), at the territory of the jurisdiction of Houari Boumediene airport, which received the owner of the century scandal, which is expected to reveal on exciting details if he compliance to the trial, involving parties that have facilitated the task of the activity and the looting of the people’s money, and owning a plane at the age of 35 without control.

Echorouk asked sources close to the investigation on the reasons of receiving Abdelmoumen Khalifa, and his psychological and physical situation, and they confirmed that Khalifa seemed too thin, bald-headed, with dark circles over his eyes, and did not utter any word since coming off of the plane, in which he was the last to leave, accompanied by judicial and diplomatic delegation which handed him over the security services of the Border Police, which in turn handed him over to Algiers security services, in order to complete the legal procedures for prison.

In the framework of the legal proceedings, the so-called “Golden Boy” was transferred to one of the inner rooms at Houari Boumediene airport, where he underwent a thorough medical examination, and a sample was taken from his blood in order to be subject to analysis, where security services made sure that he is in good health, before being referred to the General Attorney of Harrache Court, in order to apply the arrest warrants that were issued against him, on the grounds that the airport is located in the territory of the court’s jurisdiction.

A security delegation backed by Algiers’ research and intervention forces to transfer him to the Criminal Court Council in Blida, in order to inform him of the judgment that was issued against him which is life imprisonment.

Reliable sources told Echorouk that Rafik Abdelmoumen Khalifa, was watching the change in the country that he left more than ten years ago, and commented from time to time by saying: “The country changed” since his release from Houari Boumedienne airport, until arriving at Blida court, and arriving to the judicial council of Blida, where he was informed of his right to the judgment in absence, as it was decided to provide the opposition in the judgment immediately as soon as he was informed, before it was transferred again to El Harrache prison where the hearing will be determined.

In this context, Echorouk talked on Saturday with the lawyer Abdelhafid Belkhidar, one of the lawyers in the Khalifa case, and he asserted; “Khalifa will launch, in the framework of the law, procedures of retardation because the judgments against him were in absentia, and on this basis the case is open again, and to hear him from once again, and call of the former accused former in the case as witnesses, and shall be treated as if the sentence has not yet been issued, so as the issue will return again by the Supreme Court. He cannot appeal the sentence like the others because it was issued in absentia, and therefore the first facts in the referral decision are not taken into account and the case will return to zero point. The accused filed an appeal in the case before the Supreme Court and was accepted, can be trialed through annexation of his file and interrogating him in the second file.
