Landmine injures manager while on duty

The manager of the provincial branch of the wireless phone operator” Mobilis” had yesterday morning his leg ripped off by a land mine going back to the French colonial period.

• M Namouss Nacerredine , along with two of his collaborators, was paying an inspection with the view to supervising a telephone exchange based set up on the  borderline between the towns of Canstantine and Khenchela (eastern Algeria).

• He was transferred immediately after the tragic accident to the nearest hospital and put under intensive cares; while both his colleagues were lightly injured.
•  
• First investigations excluded the hypothesis of a terrorist act targeting the manager because the region is rather calm and didn’t witness terrorist activities.
