Large transfers of police officers to southern Algeria

Human resources department at Algeria’ National Police fixed May 10th as deadline for submission of transfer requests from south to north. It will start implementing the transfers plan in June, Echorouk has learnt.

Human resources department director Mohamed Benairad last week informed provincial departments that the transfer requests were studied before conducting a reshuffle in June, according to the same sources.

If the number of transfer requests from north to south and vice versa was not equal, the department will oblige some elements to move to the south to hold vacant positions.

Earlier in March, the National Police determined issued a circular to determine all the details related to service years in the south.

The document says agents and executives who want to move should submit their requests before May. They should have worked for two or three years in southern provinces.
