Libyan agents sent to Algeria to track old regime elements
Scores of Libyans have flocked to the Algerian soil through the Tunisian and Algerian borders over the last few days fleeing troubles that prevail in this country for some and willing to invest their money and start partnerships with their Algerian counterparts for others.

- Another category of Libyans have simply crossed the Algerian borders to spend some time in various hotels and resorts in some Algerian towns.
- Information collected by Echourouk, reveal that among these Libyan nationals, some belong to the insurgents en a special mission in Algeria to track the remnants of the ancient regime that fled their home country in the wake of February 17, revolution.
- Unverified sources revealed that the mission of the Libyan that entered the Algerian consists in roaming across various provinces to collect information over whereabouts of their fellow citizens as well as their activities.
- The same sources do not exclude the possibility that these Libyans are tasked by some Gulf countries that financed the so called “ Arab Spring” including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, to spread chaos in Algeria and initiate another “ Spring” in the country.
- Other sources have indicated that another group of Libyans intend to revamp arms trafficking with the complicity of some Algerians smugglers operating in the south eastern parts pf the country.
- Figures reveal that the number of Libyans that currently dwell in Algeria nears 90 thousands including 50 members of Al- Qadafi’s family. The number is relatively weak in comparison to Egypt that hosts some 600 thousand Libyans and Tunisia that shelters some 500 thousands.
