Madani Mezrag tells his story with FIS on Echorouk TV
Echorouk TV will broadcast a historical series with Madani Mezrag, the national leader of the dissolved- Islamic Salvation Army. He exposes his activities and tells details for the first time about his relationship with activists in eastern Algeria led by Djaballah.
Merzag talks in the show about his work for the banned-Islamic Salvation Front (FIS) and his role in dismantling some armed cells which were formed before Algeria banned the electoral process.
He also talks about his arrest and the way he escaped from hospital in the province of Jijel (east of Algiers). The series shows the relation between the Islamic Salvation Army and the FIS as well as details about the announcement of “jihad” decision in Algeria and scholars’ position.
Mezrag will talk for the first time about his experience to a TV channel as he represents an important personality in Algeria’s political Islamic history and armed acts.
All the episodes will be broadcast in a special program presented by Mohamed Yakoubi on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30 pm. They will also be published on Echorouk Al Yaoumi newspaper staring from Wednesday.
