Madjid Bougherra (football), Sonia Asselah (judo) best athletes in 2010

ALGIERS- Soccer player Madjid Bougherra and judoka Sonia Asselah have been elected best Algerian athletes in 2010 by national sports media in a poll conducted by APS.

The two winners were chosen, by forty-three media outlets, for their performance consistency and achievements in 2010 in their respective fields at both national and international levels.

An awarding ceremony is to be held in January at one of the capital’s major hotels to honour the two athletes, in the presence of many sports figures.
