Malian belligerents seal truce in Algiers
Talking Monday in a conference call, the Algerian ambassador to Mali, Abdelkarim Gharib declared that the Malian belligerents agreed upon a truce and a ceasefire in a meeting held here in Algiers.

The representatives of the Democratic Coalition of May23rd for Change stated that the negotiations started last Friday in Algiers with the Malian government, resulted in the necessity to pursue the dialogue to achieving peace in the region of kidal in Northern Mali.

Concerning the last attack carried out on three Malian gendarmerie officers, the Algerian ambassador considered the act as an isolated one and will not hamper the peace process initiated by the belligerents who agreed on the principle of stopping military operations.
