“Maraya” series on Echorouk TV in Ramadan

Ech-Chorouk Information Friday signed a contact with famous Syrian actor Yasser al-Azmeh to produce the 18th edition of “Maraya,” a well-known satiric TV series in the fasting month of Ramadan this year.

“Maraya 2013” will keep the same comical aspect through al-Azmeh as the main actor and a group of Syrian and Algerian actors.

Al-Azmeh said he is very excited and optimist about this experience with Ech-Chorouk Information. “I sense success before staring shooting. I saw love and appreciation in the eyes of Algerians while I walked in the streets in the capital. That made me satisfied and optimist about the success of Maraya 2013.”

Speaking about the role of Algerian actors, he said there will be no more than two but he hopes that there will be more Algerians in the next editions. “The Algerian dialect will not be used in the series as it is not understood in Arab countries.”

Asked about the topic of the series episodes, he said they will deal with problems and concerns among people in the Arab world. “Experience showed that concerns are the same in all the Arab countries. Because of that, we cannot separate Algerians’ concerns from the other Arabs.”

He showed satisfaction over the places where the series will be shot. “I saw very beautiful places in Algiers. Work will be done comfortably.”
