Al Khadim Oueld Slimane said he took part in various engagements and fighting against the Algerian military forces in the desert.

Mauritanian leader of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Magheb , Al Khadim Oueld Slimane revealed to his country’s security authorities that he took part in various engagements and fighting against the Algerian military forces in the desert areas while he was serving under the leadership of “Aderrezak Al Para” .

  • He added that he was appointed s the leader of the Mauritanian branch of Al-Qaeda by the Mokhtar Belmokhtar and that he was behind the terrorist attack against the Israeli embassy in Nouakchott. According to him, the Mauritanian terrorists who operate in Algeria wear veils and never reveal their identities to the new recruits.
  • In his revelations the terrorist said that he went to the “Salafit group for call and combat” camps in Algeria four times, twice in 2003 but failed to reach them according to him. In 2004 he succeeded to reach the group’s stronghold and dwelled for nine months before returning for a fourth time in 2007 when this group paid allegiance to “Al-QAeda” to stay for three months coming from Senegal.
