Meet Barack the Barbarian taking on scantily clad nemesis Sarah Palin in new comic superhero role

Forget Arnold Schwarzenegger as Conan the Barbarian and meet Barack the Barbarian in his latest fictional role.

• The U.S President is featured in yet another series of new comic books which will be published in June.
• In one called Barack the Barbarian: Quest for the Treasure of Stimuli the Democrat leader as the muscle-bound, loincloth-wearing president of ‘Kickassistan’.
• In another called The Righteous Retribution of Barack the Barbarian, he is pictured in a fight to the death with a screeching enchantress.
• In the Quest for the Treasure of Stimuli, he takes on his Nemesis, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who sports a cape made from wolf skin and her trademark glasses – and very little else.
• Chicago-based comics publisher Devil’s Due revealed its titles will involve Obama-related storylines.
• It released promotional images for the comics featuring the US President and a unique take on Palin.
• It is not the first time President Obama has appeared in a comic book title.
• He appeared in a Clark Kent-style transformation on this month’s cover of comics, entertainment and pop culture magazine, Wizard.
• And in January, the 47-year-old was chosen as the star of the special issue of Marvel Spiderman comics because he was a childhood fan and used to collect the comics.
• The Devil’s Due comics will also feature fictionalized versions of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President George W. Bush, the New York Post reported.
• ‘Join Barack, Sorceress Hilaria, her demigod trickster husband, Biil, Overlord Boosh and Chainknee of the Elephant Kingdom,’ the publisher said in a statement.
• ‘Bush, Cheney, McCain, Blago, Pelosi, Steele – they are all in there,’ said Josh Blaylock, the Chicago-based publisher’s president.
• Also featured in the comic will be Palin.
• ‘She’s going to be his nemesis,’ Blaylock told a US newspaper.
• Actor-turned-politician Schwarzenegger starred as Conan the Barbarian in the eponymous 1982 action flick.
• Blaylock added: ‘Everyone’s doing just these little cameos and stuff.  I said, let’s just go do something nuts. I want people to look at this and say ‘What the hell is this?’
• Obama will also feature in another Devil’s Due book, ‘Drafted: One Hundred Days’.
