Meghni’s future not determined yet, says Aspetar doctor
Chief of Algeria’s team medical staff said player Meghni’s future is confidential and he should not make any remarks about it.
-
“It is not up to me to make a final decision. The medical and technical staffs are in consultations to make the right decision in the next few days,” Doctor Hakim Chalabi told Echorouk.
-
-
We will decide about Meghni soon
-
-
-
Chalabi said Megni’s case is complicated a little bit, adding he prefers not to make any statement about that.
-
-
“It is a whole responsibility on the medical and technical staff’s shoulder. Because of that, I do not want to talk about that. I think it will be revealed soon.”
-
-
The doctor refused to talk about the reason behind Meghni’s controversial injury while sources say the decision will be made a day before going to Ireland.
-
-
-
The rest of the players’ injuries are not serious
-
-
Chalabi said injuries of Yebda, Bouguerra, Medjani and Boudebbouz are not serious and not worrying.
-
-
“I do not want to give you specific information about the players. It is a professional secret,” he told Echorouk.
-
-
“Everyone will be ready for the World Cup,” he added.
-
-
Vice Director of Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital Aspetar said the players were injured because they were tired and they did not get used to high places.
-
-
I am proud of accompanying my country in the World Cup competition
-
-
Former doctor of Paris Saint-Germain Chalabi said he is proud of being among Algerian people and the World Cup is a big event.
-
-
“I had worked with Paris Saint-Germain for seven years before joining Aspetar hospital in 2007.”
-
-
-
He will be with the Algerian players in South Africa as the hospital authorised him to join the team.
-
-
I was late for personal reasons
-
-
The medical staff’s chief said he was late to join the team because of personal reasons and his work as Aspetar’s vice director.
-
-
Chalabi joined the national team on Friday. He made a series of tests to the players and examines a number of medical bulletins about each player.
-
-
“Though I was absent, I was always close to the team. I keep touch with their Italian doctor and Algerian Doctor Boughlali. I know the state of every player,” he said.
